Thursday Night Bread

Tonight I was on my own. No Vanessa, no Emily. Its kind of oximoron how i like being alone when it comes to worshipping God, yet I always get intimidated on the thought of 'going alone to church.' However, the outcome of having that alone time with God is always refreshing (to me). I admit I was a little lost with pastor Steve's message today but I was still able to get a few things out of it. Before starting a new book, Zechariah, he gave us a little insight on what was happening before. There were three things that stuck out to me the most that were pretty relative to one another. They were regarding how the church needs to rise in being disciples. There was one thing in particular he said though that stood out of everything he said. That was: 'Truth is truth and truth does not catch a breath.' He was talking about how as believers we should in fact not be scared to encourage one another even if the truth isn't exactly what they want to hear. How else is someone going to change without hearing what they need to hear. I thought this was so encouraging because I agree 110% with him and its something that always comes up to my attention! I'm so excited to start Zechariah and hear about the prophecies in the book. Until next time...
