He will LEAD us safely THROUGH.

"When you pass through the waters...they will not sweep over you." Isaiah 43:2

January 6, 2016

After a day of strolling through Disney walk in the rain tonights BLT meeting was SO needed. So many laughs, and silly gift exchanges, but most importantly refreshment and vision. We talked about the different pastors' visions and needs for 2016 and ultimately, the goal is we'd "pump up the volume." Maybe not exactly audibly but internally in our relationship with the Lord. I am way beyond excited to see all that the Lord is going to do within the church body (the bridge, singles ministry, missions, church planting...).

With all the excitement however, comes the deep waters. My prayer is that wherever this year takes us that when deep waters rise that we would continue to trust the Lords marvelous plan for each ministry. As Xu mentioned tonight 'taking a break may sound easy but it sets us up for disaster' and not only so but we ought to be 'rallying the rest of the troops' and get our hands on not just the 'word but the plow.' AMEN to that.

"When thou passest through the waters"
Deep the waves may be and cold,
But Jehovah is our refuge,
And His promise is our hold;
For the Lord Himself hath said it,
He, the faithful God and true:
"When thou comest to the waters
Thou shalt not go down, BUT THROUGH."
Seas of sorrow, seas of trial,
Bitterest anguish, fiercest pain,
Rolling surges of temptation
Sweeping over heart and brain
They shall never overflow us
For we know His word is true;
All His waves and all His billows
He will lead us safely through.
Threatening breakers of destruction,
Doubt's insidious undertow,
Shall not sink us, shall not drag us
Out to ocean depths of woe;
For His promise shall sustain us,
Praise the Lord, whose Word is true!
We shall not go down, or under,
For He saith, "Thou passest THROUGH."
