Project 365: Happy New Year Day 1/365

I don't know about you guys but a lot of times I have all these expectations for New Years Eve. "What am I going to do? What am I wearing? And for all the single people out there am I getting a New Years kiss?!" However, sometimes it's nice to just sit back and let the year just roll in. After all it's more about being thankful for another year of life rather than the clock striking 12. BUT since my family never does anything to bring in the new year, as always I'm waiting around to do something.
Last night I originally had plans with friends to celebrate but unfortunately that didn't work out. I was a little disappointed and started to text everyone I knew, which wasn't very many people btw. We (my mother and I) last minute ended up celebrating with one of her old friends from back in the day. It was a nice night to be quite honest! Of course I started off being the shy person I am but being that half of the crowd was drunk it only took a matter of minutes before they got me to boogie. I've met most of everyone before but hadn't seen them in a long time so for them to treat us like family was so nice of them!! They definitely showed us a good time. Once the new year hit everyone felt the love and we gave each other hugs, yes even the people we didn't know. After a few 'fireworks' it was time for us to go home. To bring in the New Year's Day we went back to have some warm posole which was pretty damn good! My family, minus my dad, went for some shopping and brought ourselves back home.
I don't know where God will take me this new year but I sure hope it's back to where I was when I first wanted to start this blog. It may take weeks maybe even months but I hope that in this project of mine, these baby steps, that I will find my way back there. I may not have many friends but I have the ones I need, that God put in my life. If there's anyway I wanted to start off my year besides partying and celebrating, it's thanking God for every year I've been here, so thanks. Happy New Year everyone<3
