Trusting in God

Friday January 25,2013
Like most Fridays I was able to go to The Bridge, our young adult group service. Except this Friday was a little special compared to other ones. Being that a NEW year just started The Bridge leaders thought what a better time to get involved. So rather than this Friday night being worship and a study, it was more of a time of food, fellowship, and a time to sign up and get involved in certain ministries. The beginning of my great night started with an old friend, Vanessa, who was able to come for the first time. We got to hang out, and catch up which was really cool since we don't hang out much. Not only did she get to come but Emily was able to bring a friend from school, Camille. It was really nice seeing her there too. After chit chatting with them for a bit I got to meet some other people and learn a few fun facts about them to 'break the ice.' I also noticed that an old acquaintance from school, who had been coming for the last two weeks, was there AGAIN! I totally wanted to greet her without being awkward because I was really glad that she had been going but i didn't, well until later. So then we got to eat from a whole variety of foods that everyone so graciously brought for us to eat, MM! As we were eating, people from different ministries went on stage to talk about what ministry they were in and to consider joining it if we were interested. I of course went to go sign up for the worship ministry. It was such a good feeling considering I had been praying and thinking about it for months now. After a time of signing up we got to play a game! It consisted of keeping four balloons up in the air for a minute with a partner. We lost, thanks to me ha ha. After, pastor D gave a brief message on trusting God. Then we closed the night with some worship. It was fairly long but I always love when worship is longer than usual! I went to sleep pretty darn happy that night! It so beautiful to know that I didn't go to sleep happy because of anything in this world but because of God.
