365 Days of Twenty: Patience and Random Visits. Day 8/365

Day 8: September 8, 2014

Finally some rain in the Californ-i-a! The humidity is super gross though. Woke up to the rain at my window this morning as I got up for another day of work. I was obviously still half asleep because I left half an hour before I was suppose to and I didn't realize until I was more than half way over to work. I guess it worked out well though because I got to so some devos before I went into work this morning. Today's devos were about doing good. So often the world gets caught up with doing good and forgets to recognize that that's not what gets you into heaven. Being connected to Christ does. "Fruit is grown by virtue or it's organic connection to the branch, the vine, the tree, the root." I want to be an organic fruit not a fabricated one. I even got to test my fruit today too *frustrated face.* I had thee pickiest patient ever today whom I had to help. She was totally picking on me just because of my age. I really had to control my toungue and my patience with her. Although I wanted to crack her glasses in half I was reminded that sometimes I do the same to God and yet he still has that love, joy peace, and kindness to me. So thank you Galations for that. I guess that my lowlight of the day but it was mixed with a highlight of God working on me. As I started to end my night (which was like at 6 ha) I almost thought to myself "hey what am I putting for today's post?" Then  we just happened to have some visitors for the night, Rosie, Lupe, and Mya. I got to spend some time with little Mya while her mom talked to mine. I learned a few things about her. She loves to sing. Which was so cool to see because even though she's so young she can 1. Sing a whole song, and 2. Remember the melodies. Idk i just found it a little mind blowing of all the things he's capable of at her age. She was even playing my guitar and Ike. Of course not in tune but she used her imagination. That's what catches my eyes about these kids they have such a huge imagination! It's also so cute when these innocent little souls pronounce things wrong HA! Like for some reason Mya kept saying lipstick right but she kept saying nipgloss instead of lipgloss. The funniest of them all had to be Justin Biebers - beauty and a beat. She knew Nicki Minajs part "justin bieber but I got to keep an eye out for selener" at about 1 percent speed. However as she sang the song at about full speed it became "justin beiber but assffghjkklllzcvnn selener." OMG too cute. Overall I'd like to think my day went pretty well. I've been super tired lately but I pull through.

Thank you Lord for giving me your strength, love, patience, and kindness. Help me to continue practicing my character. That it would not be about being "good" but more of seeking a connection with you.

Night/Morning
